Welcome to Philipsburg Senior Community Center!
Philipsburg Senior and Community Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Mission Statement
Our Center is to promote an enriching quality of life for our seniors and community. A place for social interaction and fellowship which enhances their dignity, supports their independence and encourages involvement in and with the community. The center is the site for a nutrition program for the elderly.
History
Our Center started serving meals approximately 50 years ago. Our current millage was voted on in 1980 and allowed for an annual operating expense that Philipsburg shares with the town of Drummond. We also receive funding from the Federal Program, SWMADS in Butte, MT. Our millage varies each year, but usually we receive $17,000 to $18,000 per year from our Granite County allotment. This money is currently being used to pay our building rent and our utilities. The entire amount is used each year for this purpose. Our federal monies can also vary every year, along with any State money. Depending on the political policies for each year. We usually receive approximately $1,200 to $1,400 a month, which pays for our monthly operating costs; food and supplies. We are currently spending approximately $26,000 each year for employee expenses; 2 cooks, and 1 bookkeeper. Our membership, which consists currently of about 40 people. The annual membership dues are $40.00. Included with the membership is a discounted meal rate; members pay a meal price of $8.00; non-members pay $9.00 per meal. We are a 501(c)3 organization and receive donations throughout the year, please mail them to P.O. Box 914 Philipsburg, MT 59858, thank you.

We currently rent the Philipsburg Mason's Lodge dining room and kitchen located at 101 E Broadway St. Our current seating in the dining area is limited to 32 total people. During the summer months we often fill up, and regular off season dining seating arranges from 5-20 people.
Future
At the beginning of May 2020, we were given a parcel of property located on West Broadway, amounting to 18,000 square feet of land. We are currently attempting to acquire one small adjoining parcel which would give us the entire block. It is our intention to build a Senior and Community building on this property. In researching other communities that have done such a project it has proven to be a very good thing for the town and the surrounding areas. At this point we are only limited by our imagination, but once again our research shows that the area would be suitable for such a building for not only Senior meals, but also for various Community events. Please feel free to contact any current board member for further information and feel free to give your input.

UPCOMING EVENT!
New Senior & Community Center!
There is a proposed new senior citizen's and community center in the works for Philipsburg and we're excited to tell everyone! In the past, our community has relied on private funding for most of our projects and endeavors. We would like to try to put this together utilizing private capital. Our plan is to have a community/senior center, meaning we would still provide meals for our seniors, but also have more room for those needing to utilize our space for their events.
